Recently Maximus was invited by The Royal Photographic Society to give a day's lecture on studio lighting in Cambridge which proved a great success.
So if you want to learn how to use and control light in a studio environment to improve your portraits. We are now offering studio lighting workshops.
During the workshops we will concentrate on how we can add to and modify the light within our images using studio flash techniques and how this can be applied to your photography. All you need is an SLR camera that is capable of manual operation and has a hot-shoe mount for use with radio triggers. If in doubt please contact us.
This workshop is suitable for you if you understand aperture and shutter speed and how to set them on your camera, you will learn about:
- Light sources and properties of light
- Studio flash equipment & basic techniques
- Light modifiers such as softboxes and umbrellas
- Setting up the camera for studio work
- How to use a flash meter
- How to pose your model for different looks
